First steps

I haven't actually left San Francisco for real yet--the exit party is tomorrow--but I took a couple of days to see some California sights before taking off:


Sequoia National Park
and


Kings Canyon National Park.
If you want to visit the Sierra without dealing with the crowds of Yosemite, you should definitely head up/down/over to these two beautiful parks. The biggest tree in the world! How much cooler does it get?!

Where I'm Going

Last Thanksgiving, my friend Molly and I went to visit her sister, Katherine, in Ecuador. A week wasn't long enough, so when I found out my school was closing at the end of this year, I decided I should head back for a while. I'm flying to Quito on July 24th, and am going to try to keep people updated here. What's Quito like? Here's some video I took there in November.
